I was impressed with a only 2 of the mutants in the game, the blood sucker that gave me that o-shit factor, and the controller cuz he killed me about a dozen times cuz i couldnt find him. The boar and flesh were all right and the dog's i felt were a cop out.
So we need to come up with some new ideas for monsters....
Some rough ideas i have are
Spider's/Insect based mutant- Whats the old saying the only thing's that will survive nuclear fallout are going to be the bugs and the twinkies. some form of insect i think is a obvious choice in a monster.
Grey's- In the labs you find the those alien baby freak things, could be possible that during the explosion some of these managed to escape into the wilderness, uses psi damage but not like the controller, since these are the first gen brain burners they shouldnt be as powerful as the controller but more of a psi bolt type damage and, as well as making the player hallucinate like in the Red forest..
Hyrda- a mutant based around some form of lizard/snake, watch out they spit =)
Plant - Some form of Venus flytrap it attempts to lure creatures in range and then eats em.
Farm animals? - The flesh are suppose to be pigs right? Why not have a horse, cow sheep etc etc.
Just a few i thought of cuz im on vacation tell wednesday =)

I would like to see Godzilla! (Just kidding)
Hmmm... some form of deranged/mutated humans? Maybe some kind of creature that uses other animals as hosts. You kill the host, it leaves the host body, and finds another one. You'd have to kill "two" enemies to kill one.

i dont know. what i would like to see is this chimera that still has an entry in the creatures folder..... Supposedly there was also a creature called tark or tarks that were mutated horses but they got forgotten or removed. There were also supposed to be a certain type of dog that used psi attacks of a kind. Considering the shere amount of code and information for features/weapons/vehicles and creatures throughout the gamedata files it wouldn't surprise me if there were a lot that could be made available soon after SDK gets released

Mutated Bear - Hiding somewhere in the Red Forest, highly dangerous and territorial. Rampaging charge will throw anything in its way, including Stalkers. Bear spray does NOT work on a mutated bear the size of a car.
A bear would be cool.

Bear is cool. A Wolf/ves big ones Some kind of hostile plant-life, aside from that weird hanging stuff theres nothing abnormal about the plants it seems.

I just cant wait tell they give us the SDK and we can find all the things they didnt finish. Plus adding our own new content.
Am going to start a couple rough story board sketches on that "host" monster going with the working title of "Fiend" want to have it kinda have the ability to not so much go invisible but sorta become transparent or fade so to speak.
Running with the current idea of having it be in houses or have it sneak into stalker camp 's and attach itself to the ceiling's and have these tentatcle like things seek out prey and kinda just plunge the tentecle in the back of the "NPC's" head.
Which could just turn the NPC's into just zombified stalkers with the Fiend being able to control major nervous system function. makes it a lil more believable that the zombie stalkers can shoot aim, reload.

I wouldn't mind a good beer or mutated beer for that matter. About my idea of wolves what i meant is that animals that would actively hunt stalkers or prey for large distances. Rather than just attacking those that enter their territory like the creatures do currently. Sort of like in an RTS with unit behaviours, the wolves would be on aggressive while everything else is basically defensive (at the moment)

So the wolves go out and hunt? That would be awesome, i would love to see that. Specially with certain monster classes.
PRoblem i have run into a couple times is i will get a mission to go protect someone and by the time i enter the zone which the mission is in, some blood sucker killed all the stalkers i was suppose to help, thus failing the mission.

Really? I've never discovered one of those missions.
I did get to the "Kill the Rookie Stalker" mission, and he ended up being in the Bar area... I was slightly angry...

the mission in question is like "Protect the stalkers at Agoropam from the bandits" and when i load into the zone i guess there is a blood sucker there and he kills all the stalkers. kinda rains on my 100% success rate.

Hmmm... Maybe we could find some way to create an immunity for NPC's in a quest, until you are within... 100 m's of them?

Doesn't take long for bloodsuckers to chew through stalkers especially when most are using pistols or mp5's.

I think for all of us that have roots in the Fallout games we should throw in a easter egg...the "Brahmin" or maybe a unique bloodsucker we can make into a Deathclaw.
